Anna Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine, to Janice (Cooke), an accountant as well as William Kendrick, a teacher. Michael Cooke Kendrick, her older brother, has also performed. Anna Kendrick is Scottish, Irish, and English. She won the Drama League Award and Theatre World Award for her performance.
