Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush, an American pop group was
founded in the year 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow,
Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They first signed to Nick Records in 2009
before transferring to Columbia Records. The group was on Nickelodeon's show on
television called Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28th the 29th of
2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode included "Big Time Rush" the
group's debut promotional single. The group has released three studio albums:
BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven in the year 2013. In 2014, the band
was on break for an indefinite time that lasted until 2021. The group then
returned to live shows and then released "Call It Like I See It".
Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush a record contract in 2009 and was
simultaneously airing the TV show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon also teamed up
with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and music that is original. The
first single from the group, "Big Time Rush" was featured on the show
on the 29th of November, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in
November 2009, the series was broadcast for the first time in the US. The
single was then released internationally. The theme song was included in a
trailer for the series for an hour, and it is the show's opener. The show also
saw releases of promotional singles including "City is Ours" and
"Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush remixed "Famous" by Play.
The song was released to iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010. Another song,
"Halfway There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 following
its premiere on the series. The song was quickly the first charting song on
Billboard Hot 100. Due to the sales of digital music the song climbed to number
93. The second single from Big Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You"
was released on the 21st of September, 2010. The purpose of the release was to
announce the release of their debut album. BTR, the album BTR came out on the
11th of October, 2010. The album debuted at the top of three on the Billboard
200. It sold 67,000 copies its first week.
