Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, an actor and musician, is known for his tough-edged roles or humorous characters in action films. He has been in over $2.5 billion dollars worth of films. Walter Bruce Willis was born on the 19th of March, 1955 in the city of Idar-Oberstein (West Germany) to Marlene Kassel and David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point New Jersey), both of whom resided on an United States military base. His family immigrated to the U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was born in Penns Grove by his mother, who worked at an institution, and his father, who was a welder and factory worker and welder. Willis began to show an interest in drama arts while in high school. He was "discovered" when he worked in a New York City cafe. Later, he appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions. In one night, Willis worked as a bartender, and was spotted by a casting manager who liked his personality. He was in need of an bartender for an unimportant role in a movie. Willis was a part of many auditions before landing the role in the well-known romantic comedy, Moonlighting (1985), as David Addison. His sarcastic and wisecracking P.I. Some view it as an opportunity to practice to prepare for Willis' role in Die Hard (1988), where he defeated the thieves of a gang who were stealing from an Los Angeles skyscraper. The actor reprised his role as McClane in the sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), set at a snowy Washington's Dulles International Airport as a group of renegade Special Forces soldiers seek to bring back a corrupt South American general. The film's stellar box-office results led to a sequel to Die Hard with avengeance (1995). This time Samuel L. Jackson starred as a cynical Harlem shop owner, who was accidentally forced to assist McClane during a terror attack on a hot New York City day.
